 Zoo Museum The Animal Museum in the Giza Zoo is one of the oldest museums not only in Egypt but in the Middle East, where it was established in 1906 AD The museum consists of 3 floors and includes exhibits related to the study of animal history and science, including rare skeletons and mummified models of various types of birds, reptiles and wild animals, some of which date back to 1910 AD. In the same building there are two halls, one of which includes a full scientific group of Egyptian birds and other scientific groups of reptiles, mammals and rodents for scientific research, and the other hall holds training courses for students and those interested in wildlife by specialists in order to raise environmental awareness to preserve wildlife The museum includes 1352 mummified birds, 555 mammals, 259 reptiles, 115 skulls, 35 skeletons, and 49 heads.  متحف حديقة الحيوان المتحف الحيواني في حديقة الحيوان بالجيزة، هو واحد من أقدم المتاحف ليس فقط بمصر ولكن في الشرق الأوسط، حيث تم إنشاؤه في عام 1906م.  ويتكون المتحف من 3 طوابق ويضم المعروضات التي تتعلق بدراسة تاريخ وعلوم الحيوان، منها الهياكل العظمية النادرة والنماذج المحنطة لمختلف أصناف الطيور والزواحف والحيوانات البرية، التي يعود بعضها للعام 1910م. ويوجد في المبنى نفسه قاعتان أحدهما تضم مجموعة علمية كاملة للطيور المصرية ومجموعات أخرى علمية من الزواحف والثدييات والقوارض خاصة بالأبحاث العلمية، والقاعة الأخرى تُنظم بها دورات تدريبية للطلبة والمُهتمين بالحياة البرية على يد متخصصين وذلك لرفع الوعي البيئي للحفاظ على الحياه البرية.   ويضم المتحف 1352 طائرًا محنطًا، و555 حيوانًا من الثدييات، و259 من الزواحف، و115 من الجماجم، و35 من الهياكل العظمية، و49 من الرؤوس وأقدم هذه المحنطات يعود إلى 100 عام مضت وهو عمر حديقة الحيوان بالجيزة.

حديقة الحيوان حديقة حيوان الجيزة أو جنينة الحيوانات في الجيزة تأسست سنة 1891 م. هي أكبر حديقة للحيوانات في مصر والشرق الأوسط، وأول وأعرق حدائق الحيوانات في أفريقيا. كانت تسمى «جوهرة التاج لحدائق الحيوان في أفريقيا». ، وتفتح ابوابها للجمهور من 9 صباحاُ إلى 5 مساءً قصة انشاء الحديقة أمر بإنشائها الخديوي إسماعيل. حيث افتتحت في العام  1891  من قبل الخديوي محمد توفيق ابن الخديوي إسماعيل. حيث بدأت بعرض أزهار ونباتات مستوردة غير موجودة في الطبيعة المصرية. يوجد في الحديقة قرابة ستة آلاف حيوان من نحو 175 نوعا، بينها أنواع نادرة من التماسيح والأبقار الوحشية.  تبلغ مساحة الحديقة نحو 80 فدانا، وتواجه بوابتها الرئيسية شارع شارل ديجول في القاهرة. وتوجد على الضفة الغربية لنيل القاهرة وتوجد بها جداول مائية وكهوف بشلالات مائية وجسور خشبية، وبحيرات للطيور المعروضة. كما تحوي متحف تم بناؤه في العام 1906 ويحوي مجموعات نادرة من الحيوانات والطيور والزواحف المحنطة. ويقدر عدد زوار الحديقة بنحو مليوني زائر سنويا. تم إغلاق الحديقة في ...
