Ghana Ghana / is an African country located along the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean, in the West Africa sub-region. It is bordered by Burkina Faso to the north, Togo to the east, and Ivory Coast to the west. It is a pivotal state in West Africa. Independence from Britain in 1957 AD, its official language is English and its currency is Sid. Agriculture contributes to twenty percent of the state’s GDP, and more than half of the workforce employs it.
