AlNahda dam
The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam / formerly known as the Millennium Dam is a dam on the Blue Nile in Ethiopia that has been under construction since 2011. The dam is located in the Ethiopian Gumuz-Gumuz region, 15 km east of the Ethiopian-Sudanese border
The Renaissance Dam is one of the hostile projects towards the downstream countries, Egypt and Sudan, which violates all international laws for transnational rivers, customs and laws for the continent of Africa, as there are treaties and laws that prevent upstream countries from establishing projects on the Nile River as the Nile River is one of the longest rivers in the world and is considered An international river shared by all the Nile Basin countries
The risks of the Renaissance Dam
Detention of a large amount of water behind this dam leads to searches of downstream countries and a shortage of agricultural crops.
The Renaissance Dam is considered as a cannon or nuclear weapon directed at the downstream countries of Egypt and Sudan
The Renaissance Dam affects the fish wealth in general and the extinction of some fish species
The Renaissance Dam leads to environmental and geological changes, the extent of which only God knows
The Renaissance Dam is working on the desertification of thousands of miles of farmland, and this leads to an increase in environmental pollution and global warming
The Renaissance Dam is considered a great danger to the whole world, not just Egypt and Sudan
Ethiopia should be held accountable from the organizations and countries that strive to preserve the environment and not harm it.
