            Nuweiba is an Egyptian city located in the South Sinai Governorate. The city overlooks the Gulf of Aqaba, and is located on an area of ​​5097 km2, 85 km north of Dahab and 465 km from the Suez Canal. It is inhabited by the Al-Muzaina and Al-Tarabin tribes and Juhaina from the Bedouin tribes of Sinai                                                                                                                          

   The city was known in the past as Nuweiba Castle or Tabia Nuweiba, in relation to the castle in which it was built in the past. The city follows the villages of Wasit and Taba and 8 population centers, and its population reaches 2,443 people spread over an area of ​​1,678 acres. Most of them are Bedouins, especially the al-Muzaina and al-Tarabin tribes, in addition to a number of expatriates, most of whom work in the fields of tourism, ports, and services. Nuweiba is rich in deep and shallow diving sites that are suitable for professionals and beginners in diving And rich in sandy cliffs, wonderful reef gardens, sea caves, as well as gaps in hard and thin coral walls, in addition to various varieties and families of different colored fish, such as basalt fish, angel fish, and grouper fish                                                                                                                                                       One of these sites is the Tea Reef site, which is located 500 meters from the beach and is easily accessible by boat. And the Abu Lulu or Hilton House area, which is a reef area famous for its rich marine life, including rock fish, sea turtles, dolphins, and lion fish, which made some divers call the “Lion Fish City” on that area                                                                                                            And the site of MM Reicher, which is located 5 km north of Nuweiba, and it is an ideal place for beginner divers, as it is easy to reach through it to the surface reefs from the beach, and it is also easy to dive in to enjoy the most beautiful marine life, seaweed, sea peaks, and coral reefs that are covered by gaps and bottles filled with amazing marine creatures such as Octopus, squid and other popular fish species. In addition to some fish entering this area, such as the barracuda fish, which come to that area in search of food among the smaller fish species                                                                                                                                Basata or Ras Satan is a Bedouin camp overlooking the shore of the Gulf of Aqaba in the city of Nuweiba and surrounded by picturesque mountains immersed in water, valleys, caves and plains. The waters of the region are famous for their richness in hard coral reefs, octopuses, puffer fish, lunar groupers and anemones in various shapes and colors of red, green and purple, which made it one of the distinctive diving sites in the Sinai Peninsula                                                                                                                                                    Tarabin Castle is located about a kilometer from the northern coastal area of ​​Tarabin in Nuweiba. The castle was built by the Mamluk Sultan Ashraf al-Ghouri in the sixteenth century with the aim of protecting the Sinai region from the threat of Turkish invasion and taking care of travelers and pilgrims passing through this region. However, the castle did not achieve the goal of its construction, as the Turks occupied it shortly after its construction, but it remained a reason for providing drinking water to the Bedouins by using the castle well. Since a few years ago, the castle has been undergoing restoration and renovation works, but it opens its doors to visitors                                                                                                                                                                                Nuweiba Castle or Tabiya Nuweiba is a small tabiya built by the Egyptian Sardariya in 1893 and made it a police station from Haggana to maintain security in that area. The castle has a wall, manholes, and a large door, and inside its wall is a water well. It is located two miles from the Temple of Wadi Al-Ain to the north, and it is the area that is currently called Nuweiba al-Tarabin
