Madagascar is a democratic, semi-presidential, representative republic, so the Prime Minister is the same as the head of government, as the government exercises executive power in the country, while the legislative authority is held by the National Assembly, the Senate and the government, while the judiciary is independent from the executive and legislative power. Its independence in 1960 AD from France, and since that time a state of struggle for power prevailed in the country, in which there were many assassinations and military coups


The state of Madagascar is ranked forty-sixth in the world in terms of area, and the geographical nature of the country on the eastern side is characterized by the presence of the central highlands, which extends to the rainforests in the far east, and there is in the country the Bengalanes Channel, which consists of a series of artificial lakes and nature connected with each other by channels Its length reaches about 460 km along the eastern coast of the country.


On the western side of Madagascar, there are monsoon forests and savannah-like plains. The sea ports are spread on the western coast, and the Maromokotro summit is the highest mountain peak in the country, and its height reaches about 2876 m, and the state of Madagascar alternates with two main seasons; They are: a hot season that extends from November to April, and a dry and cold season that extends from May to October


The country's economy depends mainly on agriculture, fishing, and forestry operations, and its most important exports are: coffee and vanilla, as Madagascar ranks first in the world in their production and export, and it also produces and exports rice, sugar cane, cloves, peanuts, and bananas. Reducing the poverty spread by means of stimulating ecotourism, and the exploitation of the biodiversity present in it


The island of Madagascar is one of the African countries located in the Indian Ocean, off the southeast coast of the continent, and the island is the fourth largest island in the world, with an area of ​​about 587,041 km², and a population of about 22,920,000 people, according to the 2013 statistics, but a third of them live Below the poverty line, it is mentioned that the island of Madagascar includes about five percent of plant and animal species in the world


The terrain of the island varies, in the eastern side, there is a steep cliff that leads from the central highlands to the bottom of a stretch of rainforest with a narrow coastline at the farthest point in the eastern region, and the Banglanes Canal includes a group of natural and artificial lakes that are linked with each other through extended channels Along the eastern coast, which is about 460 km, the slope from the central highlands towards the west has some seasonal forests and dry grass plains, and along the western coast there are multiple protected marine ports


The highest peak on the island is called (Maromokotro), with a height of 2,766 meters, and is located in the far north of the island, and in the southern region is the rocky region (Andringitra), which includes many peaks. As for its climate, the island witnesses two seasons: the hot and rainy season begins in the month of November, and continues until the month of April, and the other season is cold and dry, and it starts from the month of May and continues until the month of October, and in general the island prevails in the southern winds Eastern Province, as it is vulnerable to hurricanes at times, but snow is rare


It is believed that the population settled on the island of Madagascar approximately 1,300 years ago, and some opinions indicate that the first inhabitants came from Indonesia with one trip, then the Africans came as a result of migration and the slave trade, and there are other opinions indicating that the island of Madagascar was settled by a mixed population who arrived in Madagascar on A route of multiple journeys that traveled along the Arabian Peninsula and the coast of India and Africa, and there is clear evidence in the language and culture confirming the Indonesian origins of the population, and there is evidence leading to the fingerprints of the Arab-African settlers on the coasts of the island before the year 1000 AD


There is also weak evidence indicating the influence of the Hindi language on vocabulary, and it is worth noting that there is no link between the Hindu religion and the culture of the people of Madagascar, and as Sunni Islam did not appear except in coastal settlements at a later time
