Frog / a vertebrate animal of amphibians follows the group of pteratoids, and the word means, in Greek, tailless, and frogs are distinguished by their short, soft bodies, and their long hind legs, ending in fingers interconnected by thin membranes, that help them swim, their eyes are protruding, and they have no tail. Most frogs live in semi-aquatic environments, move by jumping, and can climb. It lays its eggs in streams, ponds, and lakes, its larva is called a tadpole, and it has gills to breathe in water. Adult frogs are predators and feed on arthropods, ringworms and gastropods, and they are often noticed, through their chirping sounds, at night, day, or during periods of sexual estrus

There is an amphibious animal of the order without a tail that looks like a frog and is called a toad, and it is often similar to people and they do not distinguish it from a frog. This animal, unlike the frog, is characterized by external characteristics and behavioral patterns that differ from the frog, as it is more prepared to live away from the water and lacks the skill of jumping, and accordingly its skin is thicker than the skin of the frog and its legs are short compared to the frog                                                                                                                  Frogs are found almost all over the world, from the tropics to semi-cold regions, but most of their species live in tropical rainforests, where more than 5,000 species have been recorded, and they are among the most widespread vertebrates. However, it has been observed in recent years. decreased in some of its populations in different parts of the world                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  When the frogs reach puberty, they congregate near a lake or stream, knowing that they prefer to mate in their habitats and breeding grounds, which leads to a mass migration towards these habitats, including thousands of frogs, each wanting to find a mating partner during this journey. Frogs are exposed to great dangers, especially from cars that kill many of them, so some countries, including European countries, have resorted to establishing barriers, tunnels, and alternative ways for the passage of frogs. When frogs arrive at mating places, the male emits a chirping sound, only the female of his kind is attracted to him, and the female, in turn, can distinguish the male of her kind, while some types of frogs, their males cannot emit, so they harass and prevent females from approaching the frogs The chirping ones                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Frogs reproduce by external fertilization, as the male, during the mating process, mounts the back of the female, in a way called superposition marriage, and grips her with his limbs, so the frog dives into the water and begins laying brown or black eggs, while the male's sperm escapes into the water. Where the male cells fertilize the egg while it is in the water, after fertilization, the egg begins to grow, and an increase in size occurs, as well as a protective cover that looks like gelatin. Frogs mate in the period between the end of autumn and spring, which is the period when the water temperature is relatively low, with an average temperature of 4-10 degrees Celsius, which is suitable for the growth and development of tadpoles, as oxygen is more concentrated in cold water, and food is available during this period                                                                                                                                                                                              The life cycle of frogs is similar to the life cycle of amphibians, and it includes four basic stages, a tadpole egg, a transitional stage, then an adult, in the first and second stages. The presence of an aquatic medium is extremely important for tailless animals, as it produces many behavioral patterns associated with the reproduction process, such as The sound that the male makes to bring females to his area, which he chooses to breed, knowing that some frogs guard the eggs, and in some cases, even guard the tadpoles.
