Ghana / is an African country located along the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean, in the West Africa sub-region. It is bordered by Burkina Faso to the north, Togo to the east, and Ivory Coast to the west. It is a pivotal state in West Africa. Agriculture contributes to twenty percent of the state’s GDP, and more than half of the workforce employs it. Ghana grows corn, cocoa, bananas, rice, shea nuts, cassava, peanuts, and also processes food, petroleum, minerals, small merchant ships, and timber. Among the most important sources of foreign exchange in Ghana are cocoa, gold, individual remittances, and oil, which is somewhat recent but contributed to boosting Ghana's economic growth.




Ghana is famous for its sandy beaches, forests, diverse animal life, and its ancient history dating back to 10,000 BC, and Ghana was the first sub-Saharan African country to gain its independence; As it became independent on March 6, 1957 AD, Ghana is located in West Africa on the coast of the Gulf of Guinea, bordered on the east by Togo, on the west by Côte d'Ivoire, on the northwest and north by Burkina Faso, and on the south by the Atlantic Ocean.


The state of Ghana was subjected to British colonialism from 1896 AD until its independence in 1957 AD, as it was the first independent country in the West African regions, thus changing its name from the Gold Coast, which was called by the British colonialism to Ghana, and its first president was Commander Kwame Nkrumah, who led the struggle. Patriot until its independence. Ghana has suffered over many decades from many military coups that have been oppressing democracy and the freedom to form parties.


But with pressure on the ruling regimes, parties were later allowed to form, and from here the transformation began in this country, and the first elections were held in 1992 AD, in which the Rollers were elected, and he continued to rule until the elections that took place in 2000, in which the first civilian president was elected.


Ghana is called the Gold Coast, because it is one of the most famous countries in the production and export of expensive and rare minerals. Such as diamonds, gold, manganese, bauxite, and iron, and this is what makes them the focus of attention for many investors and foreign capital owners who go to invest in them, and this country ranks tenth in the world in gold production.


Ghana is most distinguished by its abundant waters due to the fall of good amounts of rain every year, and there is also a running river called the Volta River, which is characterized by its tropical climate in which the rain falls in large quantities, and as a result, the largest dam in the world was built in this country, which is the most important It is most famous for it, and this dam is called Accusombo.


The climate in Ghana is characterized by combining two climates: A tropical climate, and tropical, as the southern regions are dominated by a tropical climate. They are very rainy in the winter and very hot in the summer, while the coastal areas are low rain because of the winds, while in the northern and middle sections they are dominated by a tropical climate. Dry coming from the Sahara Desert


Accra: It is the capital of the state and its most populous city. It is distinguished by its picturesque beaches, historical and archaeological buildings, libraries, and many historical museums, in addition to traditional markets and art galleries, as well as ancient castles dating back to the seventeenth century AD, and the abundance of parks in them.


Kumasi City: It is one of the cities located in the south-central side of the country, about 250 kilometers from the capital. It is enjoyed by the visitor to the city, as it is characterized by the many mountains covered with trees.


Cape Coast Castle: This castle is considered one of the most important stations for the immigration of slaves when the country was a colony of Britain's colonies, containing from the inside traces on the walls in green, which are traces of the chains that were tied to the slaves in preparation for their deportation, the castle from the inside is dark and on the outside its color White limestone, with narrow cells, offering a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean.


Elmina Castle: Located in southern Ghana, it was built by the Portuguese during the year 1482 AD, as it was the first commercial center in the Sahara Desert for Europe, and the castle was used as a gold station.

National Park: This park is located north of Cape Coast Castle, about 20 kilometers, surrounded by farms, especially cocoa farms, and contains many trees and wild animals, and there is a road that tourists use to wander around the park, which is 350 meters long and 40 meters high.
