Aaron
Aaron
Aaron bin Imran is a prophet of God who is believed in by the followers of the Jewish, Christian and Islamic beliefs and the prophet Harun lived with his brother the Prophet Moses in Egypt in the era of the Pharaohs according to the Old Testament and the Qur’an and in the Bible the Old Testament is Ibn Imran and the older brother of Moses and Mary married to Elishava and has four children.
Aaron, peace be upon him, is one of the 25 prophets of God whose mention is mentioned in the Qur’an, and he is the elder brother of the Prophet Moses - upon him be peace - is Harun bin Imran bin Qahith, and his lineage ends with Ibrahim - upon him be peace -, he was born in the year in which he left killing the male sons From the Children of Israel by order of the Pharaoh of Egypt,
Aaron was raised far away from his brother, who grew up in the Pharaoh's Palace, and Moses chose him to be his minister and auxiliary in carrying out the call to God and confronting Pharaoh Egypt with the divine message, and it has been said about that it is the greatest distress a brother grows for his brother, and this article highlights the story Aaron.
Aaron's first mention is mentioned in the Holy Quran, and Aaron is mentioned more than twenty times. Sometimes he was the minister of Moses: (Moses gave us the book and brought with him his brother Aaron as a minister) (Al-Furqan 35) and sometimes as the spokesman on his behalf: (And my brother Aaron is the most eloquent of me for a tongue and he sends it with me) (Al-Qasas 34), (and dissolve a knot from my tongue, Understand my words, and make me a minister of my family, Aaron my brother ....) (Taha 27-30).
And since the Holy Qur’an gives Aaron a great position and an important role in the company of his brother, he denies making the calf that the Jews worshiped in the absence of Moses. And he is attributed to a person named Al-Samariyy (who was led astray by the Samaritan) (Taha 85). Aaron objected to this work: (And Aaron had said to them before: Yaqum, but you have adhered to him ....) (Taha 90). The cream strengthens his support in reporting the message.
The beginning of the story of Aaron - peace be upon him - was when the revelation was revealed to his brother Moses - peace be upon him - for Pharaoh's call to believe in God, so Moses asked his Lord to send to his brother Aaron so that he may have a reserve and assisted in his call, so God responded to his supplication and asked him and accordingly they flee from one of the prophets Peace be upon them-, and the reason Moses insisted on his request;
This is because Aaron is more eloquent and eloquent in his speech than him, and Aaron carried out his mission as minister to his brother, assistant and supporter in his call, and after the departure of the children of Israel from Egypt towards the Holy Land and drowned Pharaoh and his people, Moses, peace be upon him, succeeded him in their people when he went to meet God - glorified and exalted - At Jabal Al-Tur as stated in the Holy Quran.
And in the absence of Moses - upon him be peace - there happened the temptation of the Samaritan, in which the children of Israel were afflicted and who made them of pure gold hastily for him bellow - and the bell is the voice of the calf - and he called them to worship him, so they responded to him and left the worship of God alone, so Aaron - peace be upon him - fulfilled his duty in their call To abandon the worship of the calf and return to the religion of Moses - peace be upon him - but they were arrogant and insisted on worshiping the calf,
When Moses returned with the tablets and learned what happened from the Samaritan and the children of Israel, he was greatly angry at his brother for believing that he had failed to discourage them from worshiping the calf, but when he understood the matter from his brother Aaron, the anger went away from him, and that story of Aaron is contained in the Holy Qur’an and in the Torah in other details that can be used for For consideration.
Aaron died at the top of Mount Hor, at the age of 123, after he removed the robe of priesthood for his son Eliezer at the command of Jehovah to Moses: (Take Aaron and Eliezer his son and bring them up to Mount Hor, take off his clothes, and wear Eliezer his son to them ...) Number (25: 20-27) according to the Torah. He is said to have died before his brother Musa and was buried on top of a mountain near the city of Petra in Jordan. The mountain is now called Mount Aaron in relation to the Prophet Harun.
