Zakaria

Zakaria, peace be upon him, belongs to our master Jacob bin Isaac, peace be upon them. Our master Zakaria went to his workplace every morning, where he worked as a carpenter.

The children of Jews lived since ancient times, specifically after Moses, peace be upon him.

After many years of meeting our master Moses, peace be upon him, his vice, pervaded and spread waves of immorality in a wide segment of the children of Israel, but these contests remained far from a limited group of them, where they continued to follow what God has commanded to be permissible and prohibited in its custody and walk on the righteous denomination.

This group of believers from the Children of Israel included our master Zakaria, peace be upon him, who vowed himself and made double efforts so that the Jews would retract their actions and cancel them by trying to spread faith in their souls, but it did not succeed in that, as they remained in their condition of the great debauchery and immorality.

The prophet of God, Zakaria, faced various difficulties in his life or to pass tests that measured his patience as he reached the ninetieth year, but he did not have children and his wife was barren, his children did not have children, so he was afraid that the hour of his death would come and no one would succeed him and preserve the religion of God after him, he was deeply saddened He thinks a lot about it and searches in his mind for someone who can carry this trust.

One day, our master Zechariah went to Mrs. Maryam bint Imran in her mihrab and found a rich abundance for her. When Zechariah, peace be upon him, asked her from where all this was, she said this to him from my Lord, because God will provide for whom He wills without reckoning, and that is what has been accepted and welcomed and thanked God from Before his servant and prophet.

Our Holy Prophet, after he left the mihrab, he spoke to himself and said that God, who had provided Mary with a generous livelihood while she was reclining in her mihrab, is capable of children. He is capable of everything and is responsive to his repeated call to those who succeed in completing his mission.

For information, Maryam Bint Imran was one of the girls whose parents had warned her to worship, so Zechariah, peace be upon him, guaranteed her, and she taught her religion and brought her food and drink, and she lived in the Sulaymani Temple, where it was said that he was her aunt's husband and others went as the husband of her sister.

A prophet of God entered his mihrab and began calling God and saying: Behold, I am your obedient servant, my age has grown and my strength has weakened and gray hair has filled my head. And you know, O God, that my barren woman does not avoid, so he gives me from your mercy and generosity a boy who inherits me, inherits piety and faith and preserves religion.

God’s response to Zakaria’s supplication did not come out, as a call came from heaven saying: O Zakaria, we preach to you a boy whose name Yahya did not make for him before toxic, and God Almighty wanted by this name to express the intention of our master Zakaria, peace be upon him, from keeping the religion after him alive.

Zakaria, peace be upon him, had certainty that God’s promise was true and that it would be fulfilled, but he did not know how God would give him a son at the age of ninety and his wife did not have children. Then Zakaria said to his Lord: Lord, that I have a boy, and my wife was barren, and I have reached the age of old

The answer came from the sky immediately: O Zakariyya, that God Almighty knows that you are old and your woman is like you and has not given birth before, but everything is easy for God Almighty, for He is the Creator who is able to do everything.

Numerous accounts surrounded the conspiracy of the children of Israel against our master Zakariyya from before him and his son Yahya, peace be upon them both and ultimately his murder, according to what Ibn Katheer went to by saying that some of the kings of the Children of Israel in the city of Damascus wanted to marry those who were forbidden in their law, so Yahya, peace be upon him, forbid it He did that, and he did not finish what he wanted, so he plucked her to himself, and asked Yahya's blood, so he killed Yahya to please her.

A close relationship between the martyrdom of the Prophet of God Yahya and the death of our master Zakaria, where most credible accounts confirmed that Zechariah after hearing the death of his son Yahya went out until he entered a garden at Jerusalem, so the king sent in his request, and while he was in the garden he called him one of his trees to go to it,

Our Prophet, who was afflicted with the killing of his father, responded to the request of the tree and went to it, then it split and hid in the middle of it, but Satan, may God curse him, tell the king’s agents about his location, and he brought them part of his garment as evidence of his sincerity, so they came to the tree in which the Prophet of God hid Zakaria and split it in half with the saw.

The slit of the tree with the chainsaw led to the immediate death of our master Zakariyya - peace be upon him - inside it, which is something his people have always maintained, since the killing of the prophets spread among them, in the belief of the Almighty saying in verse 112 of Surah Al-Imran.
