Yahya

Yahya

Yahya ibn Zakaria is, and his father, one of the prophets that Muslims believe in and must believe. Zakaria was mentioned in the Qur’an in Surat Maryam, as Zakaria was calling to God to give him a son after he was stabbed at the age, and Zakaria's wife was barren. As mentioned in the Qur’an, God gave Yahya despite his wife’s sterility and old age.

The story of Yahya, peace be upon him, is closely related to the story of Zakaria, peace be upon him, because that cub is from this lion, and the Qur’an mentioned the hadith about Yahya in doubling the hadith of his father Zakaria, peace be upon them.

Yahya, peace be upon him, was a smart boy, God ruled his mind, and the judgment brought him a boy, a lover of worship, working in the niche of knowledge, counting the issues of the Torah, exploring their ambiguities, surrounding their origins and branches, arriving in their rulings, ruling in their reasonable, a saying in the truth, not fear in God Blame is blameless, and is not afraid of unjust sorrow.

And it came in the hadith he said, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: (No one should say: I am better than Yahya bin Zakaria, we said: O Messenger of God! And where is that from him? He said: Did you not hear how God described it in the Qur’an, then he said: {Oh Yahya, take The book was very strong, and we gave him the verdict as a boy} (Maryam: 12), so he read until he reached: {And a lord, palaces, and a prophet of the righteous} (Al Imran: 39), he never did bad, and he did not care about it.

The name of the Prophet (Yahya), peace be upon him, was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an six times, and his mention came in four Quranic verses: Al-Imran, Al-Anam, Mary, the Prophets. The main hadith came about him in Surat Maryam, peace be upon her. Here we follow the characteristics and news that the Qur’an told us about:

Beginning in Bechara Zakaria by the birth of Yahya, peace be upon them both, after he had grown old and despairing from the grace of the boy, the Almighty says: {O Zakaria, we preach to you a boy named Yahya} (Maryam: 3), as well as this extraordinary good news, and the pleasure it carries Glee, the noble verse indicated that this name is from God Almighty, and it was not from Zechariah nor from others, and in this honor and honor.

Then, after this extraordinary gospel and superior honor, the Qur’anic speech goes directly to Yahya, peace be upon him, by saying: Glory be to Him: {Oh Yahya, take the book with strength, and we gave him the judgment as a boy * and tenderness from us and zakat, and he was pious * and he was righteous in his parents and he was not a mighty and disobedient * and peace be upon him on the day of birth and day He dies and the day he raises alive} (Maryam: 12-15).

The Almighty Prophet Nabih Yahya, peace be upon him, ordered that the book - and what is meant by the Torah - be taken with diligence and understanding, and understand its meaning properly, and the application of what was included in it of the provisions and etiquette;

Then the Qur’anic report goes on to report some of the attributes that God has bestowed upon his Prophet Yahya, peace be upon him. Abu Naim and others narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them, on the authority of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: Understanding and worship were given, and he is seven years old.

And in another narration of him, he also said: The two men said to Yahya bin Zakaria, peace be upon them: “Go play with us,” and he said: “Play is created, let us pray.” What is meant by {judgment} in the verse: useful knowledge while working with it, by memorizing the Torah, understanding it, and applying its rulings.

And the second attribute that His Glory be to His Prophet Yahya, peace be upon him, was granted mercy, whereby he made mercy in his heart to compassion for others, and also gave him purity in the soul, distancing him from committing what God forbade him, and made him a race to do good, and he was obedient to God in everything he commanded him, And leaving everything that he forbade him, and made him great righteousness to his parents, and kindness to them, and on top of that, he was not arrogant, arrogant and arrogant, nor was he the owner of disobedience and contrary to the command of his Lord.

The Almighty also tells us about more of the attributes of his Prophet Yahya, peace be upon him, by saying: {Certified by a word from God, a master, a guard, and a prophet from the righteous} (Al Imran: 39), this verse included four other attributes of the Prophet Yahya, peace be upon him:

The first of these attributes is that he was {certified by the word of God}, that is, he was certified that Jesus, peace be upon him, is a messenger from God, so what is meant by (the word of God) Jesus is according to what the public of the interpreters went to, because it was called so. The meaning: that Yahya, peace be upon him, was certified by Jesus, peace be upon him, and believing that “The Messenger of God and His Word delivered it to Mary and the spirit of it” (An-Nisa: 171)

Among the attributes of Yahya, peace be upon him, is that he will be a master, that is: he outperforms others in honor, piety, and chastity of the soul, by being the owner of its reins, and controlling its passions and desires.

And the third attribute is that he was exclusively, meaning: he will be locked in his desire for desires, immune to immorality and evil.

As for the fourth attribute and the height of its hump, it is that it will be a good prophet. This characteristic is a second sign for Zakaria, peace be upon him, that his son will be a prophet from the prophets whom God has chosen to communicate his message to people and spread his call.

Then he told the Almighty after these beautiful descriptions about the reward of Yahya, peace be upon him, for his noble activity and his benign attributes, that God wrote to him security and safety on the day of his birth, the day of his death, and the day of his resurrection.

Sufyan ibn Uyaynah said: The worst thing is creation in three citizens: the day he is born, he sees himself out of what he was in, and the day he dies, he sees a people he did not see, and the day he resurrects, and he sees himself in a great mahshar. He said: So God honored Yahya bin Zakaria, and he singled him out for peace in these three cases.

Some interpretations mentioned the story of the death of Yahya, peace be upon him, including what was narrated by Al-Tabari on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them, he said: He sent Isa bin Maryam Yahya bin Zakaria, in twelve of the disciples who teach people, he said: So he was forbidden by him, the brother's daughter, He said: Their king had a niece whom he liked, who wanted to marry her.

She had a need every day for her. When her mother reached it, she said to her: If you enter the king, he will ask you for your need. Then say: My need is to slaughter Yahya bin Zakaria. When she entered it, he asked her for her need, and she said: My need is to slaughter Yahya bin Zakaria, and he said : SLI other than this! She said: I ask only you this, he said: When he refuses, he called Yahya.

And he called Batat, and he slaughtered it, and a drop of his blood was laid on the ground, and it was still boiling until God sent a shortcut to them, so an old man came from the children of Israel, so I showed him that blood. Of them, he dwelt. Al-Shawkani said: The story of his murder is fulfilled in the Bible, and his name is John, and he was killed by one of their kings because of a woman who made him kill him.
