Hood - upon him be peace - is one of the prophets mentioned in the Holy Quran, his name is Hood bin Shalakh bin Sam bin Noah - upon him be peace - and God Almighty sent him to the people of Aad, and one of the walls of the Holy Qur’an was named after his name which is: Surat Hud, and the Prophet was mentioned - peace be upon him - seven times in the Holy Qur’an, including five times in Surat Hud, and once in Surat Al-Shuara, and once in Surat al-A’raaf. The Holy Qur’an mentioned a story which is - peace be upon him - which is an exciting story in its events, and in this article will be mentioned the story of Hood peace be upon him.

God Almighty said: {And until their brother returned habitually, he said: O people, worship God. You have no other god than you, so do not fear} Surat Al-A'raf.

After God Almighty and His prophet Noah and his companions escaped in the ark and drowned those who lied to him from his people with the Great Flood that spread all the land, those who believed from the ark came to worship the Almighty God alone and the earth. Islam, and they worshiped God Almighty alone and do not share anything with it.

Then, after a long time, corruption and ignorance returned and spread on the earth, and some people returned to engaging in God and worship other than God, so God Almighty sent a blessing. The Almighty said: {I have lied to the messengers * * when their brother told them that you do not fear * I have a faithful Messenger for you} Surat Al-Shuaraa. And God called him a brother to them because he is from their tribe, not from the side of the brotherhood of religion, because the brotherhood of religion is only among the believers as God Almighty said: {The believers are brothers} Surat Al-Hujurat.

God Almighty sent him to the people of Aad, who spread injustice and became mighty, stinging on the earth and wreaking havoc in it, and denying God’s blessings on them, and their power and civilization tempted them, and they thought that no one is capable of them, so God sent them a hood - upon him peace - to advise them and remind them of God God Almighty alone and abandoning idolatry, and reminded them of the blessings of God that He bestowed upon them, and commanded them to seek forgiveness and return to God Almighty and repentance to advise them to increase God’s benevolence, and among them is Hood - peace be upon him - that his call to them is not behind them money or interest, but rather a pure call God Almighty, but they oppressed Him and rejected His callThey accused him of being foolish, insane, and lying, and they accused him of being mentally ill, expressing his disbelief and following them with whims. And Hood - peace be upon him - stayed in them, what God willed for him, and many debating sessions took place between him and them, and he followed with them various means of calling, persuasion, intimidation, and intimidation, but they did not follow him, and they declared to him explicitly that the religion of their fathers is the religion of truth, and they challenged God Almighty to inflict torture upon them So, God Almighty commanded the sky, and she ceased from the rain. God be upon them sevenNights and eight days, and the winds were so strong that they carried them up and put them on their heads and their necks were broken, so they became like empty palm trees.

The Holy Qur’an mentioned the story of Hud - peace be upon him - with his people Aad, and the people of Aad followed to Aad bin Aws bin Iram bin Sam bin Noah, and they are known for stubbornness, tyranny, corruption and oppression, and they have a lot of money and strength, and they lived in Al-Ahqaf region in Yemen in the kingdom Toss which is called Tarm with the same pillar for their height, and they possess huge bodies and strong bodies, and the caliphate was after them the people of Noah, and they are distinguished by economic and military strength, and they have their civilian lives,

And their buildings are huge, lengthy, and thin, and they have eyes and gardens, many livestock and surplus funds, and their children are many, and they lived a life of luxury and their life inspired them the worldly life, and they competed in building housing and towering towers to immortalize their memory in this world, but they met God's blessings with disbelief and denial and inferiority and worshiped idols, instead of worshiping God And they believed that harm and benefit are in the hands of idols, so God inflicted severe punishment on them.
