Azerbaijan shares water borders with the Caspian Sea on the eastern side, Russia is bordered on the north side, while it shares borders with Georgia on the northwestern side, and Armenia borders it from the west, and its borders from the south come with Iran.

The tourism sector in Azerbaijan is receiving great attention, due to its positive impact on the Azerbaijani economy, and this importance came due to the presence of natural and cultural areas that attract tourists. Growth in the number of tourists again.


Nakhchivan region is geographically separated from the rest of Azerbaijan. Accessing it requires passing either through West Azerbaijan, which is an Iranian province, or through Armenia. The rugged Armenian Plateau, a territory divided by deep gorges, occupies the southwestern part of Azerbaijan. The Kura River, which is Azerbaijan's main river, runs through the mountain ranges. It also traverses a wide, dry plain called the Kura-Aras depression. The Aras River, the main tributary of the Kura River, runs along parts of the southern border of Azerbaijan. There are other important rivers in Azerbaijan, including the Tatar River and the Akira River. Rivers are a source of water for irrigation and electricity generation. Minshawar Dam, on the Kura River, provides hydropower for the city of Baku and the Gyandzh Industrial Region

Agriculture: The area of ​​exploited agricultural land in Azerbaijan in 2007 was about 4755100 exploited hectares, and the country was famous for its cultivation of grains, potatoes, cotton, beetroots and sugar.


 Tourism: Tourism plays a major role in the economy of Azerbaijan; It has natural and cultural areas that play an important role in attracting large numbers of tourists to it

The city of Baku: Baku, which is the administrative capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is located in the region overlooking the western shore of the Caspian Sea, noting that the city was under the control of the Russian Emperor Peter I in 1710 AD, and the Russian forces were able to exploit the oil fields, where the fields were dug and oil was extracted; This made the city an important center for attracting immigrants from the Russian peasants, and many other ethnic groups, such as the Armenians, who worked in the field of trade and the economy. It is worth noting that most of the city's buildings were built in the European architectural style


Ganja City The city of Ganja is located in the western part of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the area along the River Canka, and it is inhabited by approximately 307,500 people. And it grew to become one of the most important commercial and industrial centers in the Republic of Azerbaijan; It includes many factories specialized in the production of hydroelectric energy, machinery, and textiles, and it also contains many historical landmarks that indicate the historical position of the city


Sumqayit City The city of Sumqayit is located in the eastern part of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the area at the mouth of the Sumqayit River, where it is inhabited by approximately 268,800 people, and the date of its establishment dates back to 1944 AD, and it was then one of the suburbs of Baku, but it developed and flourished. And it became a separate city, and it is famous for the development of its industry, represented by factories of chemicals, mineral, fertilizers, synthetic rubber, and other products


Lankaran City Lankran is located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, specifically at the border with Iran, where it is inhabited by approximately 240,300 people. It is famous for its sandy coastal beaches, and for the presence of large numbers of rare plant species, such as the ironwood tree, and animals such as birds and fish, in addition to To historical monuments, and wonderful national parks


 Minga Chivir is one of the modern cities of the Republic of Azerbaijan; As it dates back to the year 1948 AD, and it is inhabited by approximately 95,453 people, and thus it ranks fifth in the ranking of the cities of the Republic in terms of population
