Suriname / Officially the Republic of Suriname, is a country located in the north of South America. It is bordered on the east by French Guiana and on the west by Guyana. As for the south, it is bordered by Brazil, and on the north by the Atlantic Ocean. Suriname is the smallest sovereign country in terms of area and population in South America

Suriname is the smallest independent country in South America. Located on the shield of Guyana, the country can be divided into two main geographical regions:
The northern area; The coastal lowlands (approximately above the Alpina-Paranam-Wageningen Line) were cultivated. Most of the population lives here
Southern area; It consists of tropical rainforests and sparsely populated savannas along the border with Brazil, covering about 80% of the land of Suriname

The land of Suriname includes low coastal plains divided by several rivers, followed by a strip of sandy hills and plateaus covered by dense grass, then the interior heights of more than a thousand meters come as an average for its height
There are two types of mountain ranges are the Bakhoys Mountains and the mountains of Van Aske Van Wijk and Julianatop is the highest mountain in the country with an altitude of 1,286 meters (4,220 feet) above sea level, along with other mountains that include Tafelburg at 1,026 meters (3,370 feet), and the Kasikassima Mountain at 718 meters (2,360 feet), Goliathburg at 358 meters (1,170 feet) and Voltsburg at 240 meters (790 feet)
There are many national parks in the country: the Gallebee National Reserve, the Copnam Manding National Park and the Weah Wia National Park along the beach, the Brownsburg National Reserve, the Ralgfalen / Vultzburg National Park, the Täfleburg National Park in the center and the Ellitz de Haan National Park in the center and the Sibali Wanny National Park at the border Brazilian. Findbosbruggjul is a bridge over the Suriname River between Paramaribo and Mirzurg in Comuynyjny County. This bridge was built during the term of President Jules Albert Vijdenbosch (1996-2000) and completed in 2000. The bridge is 52 meters (170 feet) high and 504 meters (4,930 feet) long. It connects Paramaribo to Kumyoyangni, which was previously done by boat (ferry). The purpose of this bridge is to facilitate and promote development in the eastern part of Suriname
The bridge consists of two lanes, which is not accessible to passers-by. St. Peter and Paul Cathedral dating back 114 years. Before becoming a cathedral it was a theater and was owned by La Parra. The theater was built in 1809 and burned in 1820. The construction of St. Peter's and Paul's Cathedral began on January 13, 1883. Suriname is one of the few countries in the world where a synagogue is located next to a mosque (another place is Sofia, Bulgaria). The two buildings are located next to each other in downtown Paramaribo, and it is well known that the religious rituals of each are respected, which is essential for their survival

The south is full of dense mountainous areas covered with forests, as there are a number of rivers in Suriname, of which we mention the Maroni River, which is one of the large rivers in the country and forms part of the country's borders with French Guiana, while the Corantine River borders its borders with Guyana
There are a number of other important rivers such as the Kopnim River, the Saramasa River and the Suriname River. Suriname abounds with rainforest tropical forests that include many plants and various flowers in addition to many wild animals and rare birds. The summit of Mount Juliana is one of the highest mountain peaks in Suriname, with a height of 1230 meters above sea level
